Gossip Girl is back and this time New York's Upper East Side gets a lot more interesting! It all starts when Serena and Blair get offered an intern position to work with this amazing fashion designer, Bailey Winters. Vanessa was also hanging out in Hamptons for the summer trying to make some extra money babysitting a set of twins. In New York, Dan was having a difficult time having any fun because his best friend and his sister have left him in the big city all by himself. To take his mind off boredom he got a job at a bookstore and made a new friend with his coworker, named Greg. Serena and Blair were in for a big shocker when they met their new roommates Ibiza and Svetlana, who happened to look identical to them and were always trying to get them into trouble. Now you know for sure that Serena and Blair are going to find some way to get pay back! Nate, also in the Hamptons, had his first encounter with Blair and Serena. He realized that he was still deeply in love with Blair. Dan had found a way to beat his summer boredom when he decided to start a book club. The only problem was that he was worried that no one else shared his passion for books. Vanessa was having worries of her own when her job was beginning to be a more difficult task then she had predicted. Looking after the twins seemed to be hard work with little pay. At a party thrown by Bailey Winters, Serena and Blair decided to get back at their roommates by “spilling” their drinks on them. This resulted in them getting thrown out of the party, where they decided to go to Nate’s house. Nate suggested a road trip back to New York City so Serena and Blair agreed. This turned out to be an advantage for Vanessa because she quit her job as a babysitter and when she went to find Blair and Serena at Bailey Winters, she instead got invited to be an intern at his house. On the road with Serena and Blair, Nate kept on debating whether or not to tell Blair about his true feelings about her or just to keep it a secret. The three of them were heading to Serena’s brothers apartment where he was secretly planning a surprise eighteenth birthday for Serena. When they arrived at the party Serena was surprised but a little depressed because she barely knew anyone at the party. At the party Blair and Nate kept exchanging glances at each other. Serena was a little bit jealous of the chemistry going on between Blair and Nate. In the Hamptons, Vanessa was having a grand old time until she got into some trouble with Bailey. She decided to leave the Hamptons and return to New York to see Dan, who she was still in love with. The day after Serena’s birthday Serena realized that she was in love and wrote a letter to the man whom she was in love with. She placed the letter in the glove compartment of the man’s car and hoped that he felt the same way. Will Serena find true love or will she have to watch other people around her be in love? Day 1 Novel: Gossip Girl pgs 1-19

The teens of New York's Upper East Side are back in this tenth edition of the Gossip Girl Novels. Serena and Blair are spending their time in the Hamptons where they are interning for a new fashion designer. Things get interesting when they learn that that Blair's ex-boyfriend Nate is staying there too. Nate has gotten himself into trouble and the only way he is able to redeem himself is to work on his lacrosse coach's yard the whole summer. To join the rest of the gang in the Hamptons and to make a little extra money, Vanessa took a job baby-sitting two little trouble makers. With Serena and Blair off being interns, Nate working, and Vanessa babysitting all the time will these friends still be able to remain friends after high school or will they drift apart?

Day 2 Novel: Gossip Girl pgs 20-39

Back in New York, Dan is all by himself. His little sister is off vacationing in Europe, while his ex-girlfriend is in the Hamptons. Frustrated with his lack of company, Dan gets a job where he befriends a man named Greg. In the Hamptons, Serena and Blair meet their new roommates- Ibiza and Svetlana. They dislike the fact that their roommates are exact replicas of them and are always trying to get them into trouble. Vanessa has her hands full babysitting the twins. The twins are allowed to do whatever they want which gives a great degree of challenge for Vanessa. Nate also his hands busy working on his coach's yard. But Nate has his eye on a girl- one that is not Blair. Will Nate pursue this new girl or will he and Blair reunite?

Day 3 Novel: Gossip Girl pgs 40- 59

In the Hamptons, Serena and Blair are enjoying the hot, sunny days beside the pool. They have their first encounter with Nate where Nate realizes he still has deep feelings for Blair. For Vanessa her job has taken a major toll on her. She works long hard days for little pay. Is this the end of Vanessa's babysitting career? Back in New York, Dan has started a book club with his new friend Greg. Greg has been Dan's only friend this past summer. Dan misses Vanessa a lot and Greg has been very helpful in helping Dan keep his mind off Vanessa. Another way for Dan to keep his mind off Vanessa is his book club but he is worried no one will show up. Will Dan's book club be a big success or will his prediction be right and his club really will be a no show?

Day 4 Novel: Gossip Girl pgs 60-79

Dan's life is about to get a little bit more fascinating with the start of his new book club. Dan's worries about the lack of people attending his club turns out to be unnecessary. Yet, he is still nervous so Greg gives him a drink to help calm him down. In the Hamptons, Blair and Serena are attending a party thrown by their boss. The party is pretty lame so they decide to go over to Nate's house. Nate likes the idea of spending time with Blair and is hoping to get back together with her. With Vanessa her job was getting easier as she is getting adjusted to the twin's daily routine. Vanessa is keeping her mind off Dan by working but secretly she still has feelings for him.

Day 5 Novel: Gossip Girl pgs 80-99

Things are getting a lot more interesting at the Hamptons. Blair and Serena are up to their scheming ways. At a fashion party they are causing trouble by ruining Ibiza's and Svetlana's dresses. Forced out of the party, Blair and Serena go over to Nate's. Blair suggests a road trip to New York City. So Nate steels his father's car and the three of them are off to New York. Meanwhile with Vanessa she goes off to find Blair at the party. She was disappointed to find out that Blair is not there but to her satisfaction she gets discovered by Bailey, the top fashion designer, to model some of his clothing. Will Vanessa stick to her dreams of director, or will she give it up to become a top fashion model?

Day 6 Novel: pgs 100-124

Now that the rest of the teens from New York City are all going back home, Vanessa is the only one left at the Hamptons. Vanessa is trying to take advantage of this by befriending top fashion designer Bailey Winters. Nate is on a road trip with Blair and Serena. Nate is still debating whether or not to tell Blair he has feeling for her. Plus, with Serena along for the road trip it makes his decision even harder to tell Blair or not. In New York, Dan is spending a lot of bonding time with his father discussing books and book clubs. He hasn't been paying much attention to his sister, who is still off traveling in Europe. Jenny is starting to wonder what Dan is doing and is starting to worry. Why won't Dan tell Jenny about his book club or is he hiding something else?

Day 7 Novel: pgs 120- 139

The road trip with Nate, Serena, and Blair has just begun. The three of them have a short pit stop at Serena's apartment in New York. They are on their way to meet Serena's brother, who is secretly planning a surprise 18th birthday party for Serena. Serena is getting a little bit anxious for her birthday but is still a little worried that no one would remember it. Dan still can't get his mind off his new book club because the experience has been overwhelming. He meets people that are actually interested in the same activities as he is and he makes a new "friend". And last with Vanessa, she is enjoying the good life in the Hamptons. She is staying there free and is still able to work on an upcoming film project of hers. The only problem is that she still has feelings for Dan. Will Vanessa forget about Dan or will she let Dan be an interference for her film?

Day 8 Novel: pgs 140- 158

Serena's birthday has finally come. Eric, Serena's brother, has thrown her a big birthday bash. Yet everyone who attended the party didn't even know who Serena was. While at the party Blair and Nate continue to exchange glances at each other from across the room. Serena knows no one at her own party until she comes across Henry, her ex-boyfriend. Henry had once told Serena he loved her but instead of also saying the three little words Serena had just ran off. Serena wants to avoid Henry but Henry approaches her like no time has past at all. Serena continues to talk to Henry because she had no one else to talk to. Serena was also a bit jealous of what Blair and Nate have together. Will Serena leave Nate and Blair alone or will she get in the middle?

Day 9 Novel: pgs 159- 173

At the Hamptons, Vanessa has made herself at home. She is living under Bailey Winters' roof where he is very picky and peculiar. Vanessa snuck into Bailey's private room where she was using her video camera to record a documentary of what goes on in the world of fashion. Bailey caught Vanessa doing this and he got really upset. He ordered Vanessa to go straight to her room. That was a big mistake because Vanessa has never been told to go to her room and she wasn't about to start now. Without Bailey's knowledge Vanessa packed her bags and was heading back to New York's Upper West Side where she was going to live with Dan. Will Dan let Vanessa live with him again or will Vanessa be taking another road trip?

Day 10 Novel: Gossip Girl pgs 174- 193

The day after Serena's birthday party has come. Serena woke up early and realized that she was in love. She went downstairs to write a long letter to the person who she was in love with. She placed the letter in the person's car and hoped he felt the same way she did. Meanwhile Blair and Nate head off on a road trip where they were going on Nate's sailboat. On a quick pit stop at the gas station Nate went to get some supplies, meanwhile Blair was left alone in the car where she opened the glove department only to find the letter from Serena to Nate. Blair read the letter which revealed that Serena was also in love with Nate. Blair couldn't believe that her best friend would do that to her. Blair ripped up the letter declaring her friendship with Serena was over and that they were going to go their separate ways.
