Gossip Girl is back and this time New York's Upper East Side gets a lot more interesting! It all starts when Serena and Blair get offered an intern position to work with this amazing fashion designer, Bailey Winters. Vanessa was also hanging out in Hamptons for the summer trying to make some extra money babysitting a set of twins. In New York, Dan was having a difficult time having any fun because his best friend and his sister have left him in the big city all by himself. To take his mind off boredom he got a job at a bookstore and made a new friend with his coworker, named Greg. Serena and Blair were in for a big shocker when they met their new roommates Ibiza and Svetlana, who happened to look identical to them and were always trying to get them into trouble. Now you know for sure that Serena and Blair are going to find some way to get pay back! Nate, also in the Hamptons, had his first encounter with Blair and Serena. He realized that he was still deeply in love with Blair. Dan had found a way to beat his summer boredom when he decided to start a book club. The only problem was that he was worried that no one else shared his passion for books. Vanessa was having worries of her own when her job was beginning to be a more difficult task then she had predicted. Looking after the twins seemed to be hard work with little pay. At a party thrown by Bailey Winters, Serena and Blair decided to get back at their roommates by “spilling” their drinks on them. This resulted in them getting thrown out of the party, where they decided to go to Nate’s house. Nate suggested a road trip back to New York City so Serena and Blair agreed. This turned out to be an advantage for Vanessa because she quit her job as a babysitter and when she went to find Blair and Serena at Bailey Winters, she instead got invited to be an intern at his house. On the road with Serena and Blair, Nate kept on debating whether or not to tell Blair about his true feelings about her or just to keep it a secret. The three of them were heading to Serena’s brothers apartment where he was secretly planning a surprise eighteenth birthday for Serena. When they arrived at the party Serena was surprised but a little depressed because she barely knew anyone at the party. At the party Blair and Nate kept exchanging glances at each other. Serena was a little bit jealous of the chemistry going on between Blair and Nate. In the Hamptons, Vanessa was having a grand old time until she got into some trouble with Bailey. She decided to leave the Hamptons and return to New York to see Dan, who she was still in love with. The day after Serena’s birthday Serena realized that she was in love and wrote a letter to the man whom she was in love with. She placed the letter in the glove compartment of the man’s car and hoped that he felt the same way. Will Serena find true love or will she have to watch other people around her be in love?
