The road trip with Nate, Serena, and Blair has just begun. The three of them have a short pit stop at Serena's apartment in New York. They are on their way to meet Serena's brother, who is secretly planning a surprise 18th birthday party for Serena. Serena is getting a little bit anxious for her birthday but is still a little worried that no one would remember it. Dan still can't get his mind off his new book club because the experience has been overwhelming. He meets people that are actually interested in the same activities as he is and he makes a new "friend". And last with Vanessa, she is enjoying the good life in the Hamptons. She is staying there free and is still able to work on an upcoming film project of hers. The only problem is that she still has feelings for Dan. Will Vanessa forget about Dan or will she let Dan be an interference for her film?
